Description
Going to this place was like a pilgrimage. The Terania Creek Rainforest was the site of Australia’s first major protest to protect Australia’s forests from logging and started a global movement to protect the world’s rainforests. In the mid 1970s, the NSW Forestry Commission proposed to clearfell log 77 hectares of this forest. Within a decade, the protests drew attention to the outstanding significance of these forests. Today, this rainforest is now part of a World Heritage Area.
